The underwater acoustics section of Blacknor Technology operates an anechoic test tank and pressure test vessel. The tank and pressure vessel are used in the design and testing of specialised transducers for in house projects. The anechoic tank can be leased on a daily rate for customers own test and calibration projects. The acoustics section uses the latest computer modeling and digital signal processing techniques in the design and manufacture of broadband, high power matching circuits, for use with active sonar transducers.
Blacknor Technology specialise in the matching of sonar transducers. This requires special transformers and inductors to be designed and manufactured. In order to maintain the quality and precision of transducer matching Blacknor manufactures its own transformers and inductors. We can offer the service of manufacturing small quantity special transformers to our customers.
Blacknor Technology Ltd. provide project support to the Ministry of Defence on various projects including missile control, acoustic counter measures and torpedo discharge instrumentation.
